HFWA Requirements Effective

Happy New Year! Each year new brings new employment laws are enacted. It is important for organizations to stay up to date with new regulations. Effective Jan 1, 2022, The Healthy Family Work Act, went into effect. Take a look below at some of the requirements for the new HFWA law.

HFWA Requirements Effective January 1, 2022

All Employers will be required to offer 48 hours / 6 days of sick leave to all employees. Existing PTO and sick plans can meet this requirement – but likely require modification.
